 Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Achieves Benchmark Environmental Goal
20 April 2015 Jackson Hole--Jackson Hole achieved their goal for a 10% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions this year. This includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions from electricity, natural gas/propane and vehicle fuels by over 10%. They are the only resort in the U.S. to have an Environmental Management System which helped them achieve this possibility. 18 May 2015 AA |
 Ski Vermont Receives Most Snow in Continental US during 2014-15 Season
13 April 2015 Ski Vermont--Jay Peak Resort reported an astonishing 357 total inches as of April 13, 2015. This is very surprising seeing that many resorts did not get very much snow this year and had to end their season early. The average amount of snow in Vermont is 250 inches. May 18 2015. AA |

 2015 Tom Sims Retro World Championships: Fast and Loose California Snowboarding
Mar 30, 2105 Snowboardmag.com--The Tom Sims Retro World Championship is an event that takes place in california where everything is placed back in the 80s. This means hand dug half pipes and no ski lift rides to the top. Nate Holland, who is the legends race winner, describes the event as “One day is a race and the other day is freestyle, and that’s how it used to be growing up. I had the chance to ride an ’88 Sims ½ Pipe and my mission was to do as many tuck-knee tweaks as possible.” May 18, 2015. AA. |
 Woman Who Broke Arm Sues Skibowl for $125K and Blames Drunken Snowboarder
11 Mar 2015 The Oregonian--Katelyn Kitzke who broke her arm from snowboarder, Donald Kent, accused Mt. Hood Skibowl for serving him alcohol and even a lift ticket knowing he was intoxicated. She sued the resort for $29,000 in medical bills, $6,000 in lost wages, and $90,000 for pain and suffering. Skibowl responded by saying there was no evidence for serving Kent alcohol as well as no evidence that he was drunk when selling him a ski ticket. April 30, 2015. AA. |
